Welcome to Game Lab

Game Lab is a hub for teachers and students across the UK exploring Computing at KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and soon OCR Advanced National level. Whether you’re just getting started or diving into advanced concepts, you’ll find resources to support your learning and teaching journey.

Here, we focus on:

• Digital Game Design & Development – from 2D adventures in MakeCode Arcade and PyGame to 3D worlds in Unity.
• Media & Asset Creation – animation, audio, graphics, and all the tools you need to bring your ideas to life.
• Course Resources – lesson materials and links to essential online content for Computing and Game Development courses.
• Self-Hosted Web Tools – stable, school-friendly tools from around the web, provided “as-is” for you to experiment with.
• Unity Package Registry – a collection of useful packages to streamline teaching and learning in Unity3D.

In the future, we’ll also be adding a discussion forum to share ideas, ask questions, and connect with other learners and educators.

At the moment, the site is still developing. You’re welcome to explore the App Launcher, which already has a limited but growing selection of tools, games, and resources aimed at students. There’s plenty more to come, so check back often as the lab expands!
